as we head on through today. we are looking at the radar and we do have showers and storms lingering up towards the north showers around harford county and cecil county but look what we have down in virginia. this is making its way off towards the north and east once again. so we have a big batch of more rain moving in here we can see this big swirl in the atmosphere moving off towards the north. we don't have to quarey about that. -- worry about that. we are coming in at 64 in baltimore. 66 along the eastern shore. and 64 in dc if your travels are take you -- taking you that way. laurel coming in at 62 degrees. this means you don't need the heavy coat. 57 ijamsville, these purse are well above. and as we go through the rest of today this is what you can expect as you plan that day. showers this morning we will have off and on showers in the afternoon but we will dry

things out. it's going to be a warm day with temperatures coming in right around 74 degrees. let's check the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook and we are dealing with patchy fog this morning. >> reporter: yes, it's really limiting visibility. so be sure to turn on the low beams and slow it down. we have trouble in howard county. a fallen utility line pole actually in ellicott city that has shut down old frederick road between leader drive and mckenzie road. stick with interstate 70 instead. and for those ofous using 83 -- those of you using 83, there's nothing to get in your way. north of 695, traffic is picking up but no delays once you get on the jfx. and 695 looks like at harford road, 11 minutes to travel the outer loop from 95 all the way up to 83. traffic is starting to pick up on the west side of the beltway. looking at a 13-minute ride on the outer loop from 795 down towards 95. but everything is up to speed through the fort mchenry tunnel. 8-minute ride to travel northbound from the beltway to

the toll plaza. that's your abc2 timesaver traffic. megan and charley over to you. they are watching and listening to you as you ride to and from work. and the mta says this is for your safety. >> some say it goes too far. sherrie johnson is here. and we have covered crimes on buses before so i assume this is in response to that. >> reporter: yes, it is. as a matter of fact, the mta wants to use cameras to beef up security. it's a investigative tool with 10 on every bus. four outside and 6 inside that will record your every move and every word. the mta has always had surveillance video but audio was off limits. acting on a ruling from the attorney general's office that recording is lawful, the first buses with the cameras will hit the roads with 300 others to follow in the fection few months months. the american civil liberties union says the mta went too far. mta says passenger safety is the top priority and last month

he assault on a woman shows the need for sound to go with the surveillance picture. >> she is alleging that the case may have somehow been a hate crime. we have video of the incident but we don't have audio. that would help make the case as we try to find the two young men involved in that attack. >> the technology exist to have the cameras be the audio be turned on only when there's some public safety incident that would warrant it. >> reporter: the mta says the recordings will be kept for 30 days and no one will monitor every conversation. critics say that once the conversations reach a data base, the government cannot be trusted to keep from using them as it chooses. sherrie johnson, abc2 news. child sex abuse in the boy scouts. we are looking at nearly 14,000 pages of files made public. among the cases 90 in maryland, and 16 in the baltimore area ranging from the years 1959 to 2004. the l.a. times created an interactive

map showing where the abuse happened across the u.s. you can see and search by city, state and by the date. our description national investigative team are putting finishing touches regarding 30,000 of the files and we obtained and reviewed them. for the first time see the magnitude of the boy scout sex abuse scandal and how some of the scouts pleas went ignored and offenders were promised confidentiality. it's part of a 3-part series beginning october 28th on abc2 news. 6:35. cheerleaders at a public high school can use bible verses to fire up football fans. the judge said stop enforcing the policy against the sign appearing to violate free speech. they were made on the students time with their money and off school property. a lawsuit over the policy is set to go to trial in june. it's something she looked forward to for months but a teen missed out on her

i can't say the same for the beltway. outer loop extremely slow. expect delays from 795 all the way down to 95 and this is wherewhat it looks like in parkville. inner loop clear towards 95. souther -- outer loop slowing down. not too bad. 13 minutes to travel from 95 up to 83. that's a look at your traffic. megan and charley, over to you. >> more on a developing storey. police are searching for a man who broke into the home of two women set up video cameras to tape them in the bedrooms. >> sherrie johnson has more on this story and the video police are using you can see the guy in somebody's -- some of the clips. >> reporter: that's right. authorities hope someone will recognize this person and it will lead to an arrest. the victims doesn't know why or how the suspect was able to get in and out of the condominium unnoticed. they are in the 20s at villages of montgomery off route 108 in howard county. this started in june and the man kept coming back until recently when one of the women found the camera and called

police. it's a terrifying history and they saw the camera and the man you can see in the women's bedroom is a suspect. howard county police say the suspect didn't just set it up once but broke into the ellicott city condos several times over the course of several months to change the location and angle of the camera. now in some of the videos, the suspect is wearing a work uniform and we have the videos and still photos on the website abc2news.com in the slide show. and if you recognize this person, you are asked to call howard county police at 410-313- 3200. sherrie johnson, abc2 news. a young girl shot in the head is able to stan ped -- stand. that's the word from the improving condition from the 14- year-old pakistani girl shot by the taliban for speak out in favor of the women's rights. 30 minutes ago doctors told reporters she needs help to stand and write and she shows
